...and there is absolutely nothing I can do about that! So I'm thinking......why don't we meet the rainy weather with a smile (and in style?) and have some fun??
This one is for you Silvio (thanks for the inspiration!).
OK.... To kick-off, here are some ideas!
Things to do when it's raining:
0 Buy a DVD box with a TV series you have wanted to see but just never got around to it and have "watch-an-entire-season-marathon". I did this with "North & south" a while ago and it was WONDERFUL! Out of ideas of what to go for? Well for comedy, try "30 Rock" with Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin in case you have missed that! It's hysterical! For romance - "North & south" from 1984 is just great! ...or try thriller with a touch of comedy? "DEXTER"! Definately one of my favourites! Documentary? The blue planet was wonderful! Action - have you seen all seasons of "24"?
0 Make hot-chocolate and experiment with the flavourings... Use the real chocolate stuff, like Lindt drinking chocolate with real chocolate flakes and mix with a spice of your choice... My favourites are dark chocolate with Rose pepper, with Chili, Cayenne or adding grained fresh orange peel ;)
(oh, do let me know if you have any good chocolate drinking tips!)

0 Put on your raincoat, a pair of wellies, bring an umbrella if neccessary and GO OUTSIDE! The air contains more oxygen when it's raining... It will do you a great deal of good!
Deliberately jump in puddles of water! Go to the forest and pick some berries or mushrooms (and if you do, you will have the plans for the evening covered by cleaning your findings and hopefully cooking or at least eating them? ;)).

0 Call your family and friends.... Make a list of people you haven't talked to for a while and start dialing! Maybe even a good time to get Skype or similar to keep the costs down ;)
0 Invite some friends over for a "DVD classic's" evening.... I'd go for "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "Casablanca" or maybe something newer like "Girls just wanna have fun" or perhaps even take the opportunity to watch some classics that are yet to be covered?
0 Throw a pyjama-party!
0 Throw a pyjama-party!
0 Go on a tea-shopping-spree! Go nuts on smelling loose-tea ranges in a nice little tea-shop (works in a Supermarket aswell)....try some new flavours and perhaps arrange a tea-party for your friends?
0 Bake cupcakes!
0 Read a book, something heartwarming or uplifting! Maybe a Marian Keyes novel or something by the ever inspiring Paolo Coelho?? If you haven't read the Alchemist yet - this is a great opportunity.....it's not even a long book ;))
0 Invite family and/or friends over for an evening of games! Board games, Playstation or maybe just some cards? I highly recommend UNO (Madde & Tobbe - I miss you so much!)!!
0 When was the last time you drew something? Or painted? You don't have to be good to enjoy it! You can always make something really abstract ;) ...and you don't have to use oil or other fancy stuff! I'm thinking watercolours would be fun to try again (it's been YEARS and YEARS!).
0 ....try-out a new magazine! perhaps you will find a new interest in boats, photography or maybe even your next travel-destination? Maybe your friends have some magazines that you can borrow or swap with some of your own?
0 Visit a museum...check your local directory! Maybe there is an art or a photo museum nearby?
0 Go swimming in a lake or the sea (or of in Switzerland, in the Rhein)! The water will feel warmer than the air....lovely feeling!

0 Find a new interesting blog! You'll be amazed how many great people who are out there sharing their best tips on how to enjoy life to the fullest....you might even discover some new music now with these wonderful Mixpod.com apps that exist?
0 Solve crossword puzzles
0 Check what's happening in your town/city/village or nearby village. Maybe there is a concert, a play or some kind of show you can go to? Try something you wouldn't normally go for...
0 Learn to play an instrument!
0 Take a loooooong hot bath... Make a "home-spa-day" (or check yourself into a SPA)! Eat something healthy, drink lots of water, put on a facial-mask, light candles all around, put on some relaxing music and just enjoy your own company! Wind down and remind yourself of what a wonderful person you are! Think of 5 things that you really like about yourself and DON'T think about bad stuff (you can have a separate "things I need to improve session" for that).....
Not enough? Google "things to do when it's raining" and I'm sure there are plenty of people who have posted their ideas....or if you have your own ideas - please share them by leaving a comment?
...also shopping for rainwear can be fun!
Here are some nice pieces you can shop (click the pic to shop) so you can puddle-stomp in style ;)
Oh - and last but not least! You can always try singing in the rain ;))
"Doo-dloo-doo-doo-doo-doo...
I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin',
Singin' in the rain"
Enjoy!
