Humanity bracelet!

Am sitting here in my sofa on a Wednesday eve thinking about how much I love and need to do absolutely nothing sometimes............which is why I have so much time to stare at one of my B-day gifts!!

I am a little bit in love with my new "Humanity bracelet"!

It fits with almost everything and contains such lovely words that will help reminding me of important things in life.
Thank you Ary-darling!!!

A treasured visit, an awesome birthday party and a legendary road-trip to "St Anton"!

Coucouuuuu!!
I hope you all had lovely weekends and that you got to enjoy some sunshine!!

My weekend was long (had Monday off) and fantastic, clearly one of the best ones in a long time..... Filled with heart-felt laughter, friends, birthday wishes, food, drinks, cosy eve's in the couch together with Aryan, "polaroid" pictures, presents, cupcakes (baking and of course most importantly eating ;)), sunshine, fun and games and a legendary road-trip to "St Anton"!

So... Why was the road-trip legendary?? Well.......I'm hoping you will be as surprised as me, but did you know there are two St Antons not that far apart?? One of them is, naturally, the very well-known ski-resort in the Austrian Alps. This is where we were going!!! Excited! Happy!

We packed the ski-goggles and off we went!
My GPS could strangely enough not find either St
Anton or Sankt Anton in Austria, so I thought to myself "Well......it actually looked like it was very close to the Swiss border. Maybe I should try searching for it in Switzerland??" ..........and so I did and I found it!!

2 hours later, we were headed up a snowy mountain, excited about what we would find when we finally reached our destination.
We stopped along the way up to make some pictures of the view, but at this point, we were starting to be slightly suspicious. Around 15 min's left to our destination and not a single sign that said St Anton?! Hmmmmm.......

15 minutes later, we were finally there!!!

What can I say?? Never trust a GPS over your own instincts ;)
At least we had so much fun AND we got to see parts of Liechtenstein!! Hehe!
This is how my friend and I got literally LOST IN SWITZERLAND this weekend!!!

Linda -Still wondering whether I should sell my GPS or take a crash-course in geography, focusing on the Alps..........

How I met your mother

I just have to also post this recommendation for those of you, like me, had missed this fantastic comedy show - How I met your mother!
It took me quite a few episodes, but now I'm an addict..... Such a great source of heart-felt laughter!!

The characters are really great, the writing behind is really well done and always feels fresh and even the plot seems to remain interesting with the constant question in the back of your mind "Who is the mother??"

Like one of main characters, Barney, would say; "It's AWESOME!!".

Don't miss it ;)

Apologies.....

....for my silence! I have felt so completely and utterly stressed, exhausted and uninspired.
I am really hoping this will change soon!

Ever since I came back from New York my life has been so filled with work, studying, fixing practical issues and just trying to get back on track that there has been no room in my mind for anything but exactly that.

Having that said, the good things coming up are more in terms of quantity than the bad things right now, which is good!
I have one of my best friends coming to Switzerland on Friday and I am SOOOOOO EXCITED to
get to spend some quality time with her!!!
As it is my birthday on Sunday (no no I'm really NOT fishing for congratulations;)) - I decided to invite some friends over for drinks and then we will do what I'd like to call "The Schaffhausen classic"....so going to Guterhof for some drinks and mingel and then heading on to Cuba club, where the mingeling gets more tricky due to the high noise-level, but at this point on your drinking-curve, that suddenly doesn't seem to matter much!

On top of this, I hope to also cover some real gossiping with my friend, shopping, a day at a SPA, eating "Semlor" and making (and of course eating) Cupcakes!!

The weekend is juuuuuuust around the corner, just gotta hold on for 2 more days ;)

New York!

Hello there!
I'm now back in Switzerland again after 5 amazing days in the city that never sleeps, New York!
Not only is New York "the city that never sleeps", but also the only city I have visited so far where I feel I could never EVER get bored. The possibilities are endless!!!

5 days were not enough for me.... I want more!!!! There were so many things that we didn't have time to do. There were also a lot of things that we did do (of course) and from this I will share a few recommendations besides the obvious, most touristy ones ;)

Shopping at Century 21
If you are lucky, you can find really good bargains on designer wear here! It's a little messy, so you need to be patient to be a successful shopper in this store.... I found some really great treasures and when I go back to NY, I will surely also spend another half day in this store ;)

Stand-up comedy at Comedy cellar
I was recommended to go here by a friend and I must say, it was absolutely hilarious!!!
Can't remember the last time I laughed this much =)

Dinner at Paesanos in Little Italy
This little cosy restaurant served me the best Pasta I've ever had!! "Lobster tail fra Diavolo" with lobster-tail (quite obviously ;)), shrimps, clams and mussels in an absolutely delicious tomato-sauce over linguini!
AND the staff was really really service-minded and nice! In fact, this place was so good that we had dinner there twice........ He he!

Cupcakes at Sugar Sweet Sunshine
Mmmmmm..........this little bakery on 126
Rivington street serves little pieces of heaven!!
We tried 5 different flavours. My favourite was Red velvet - Yummie!
I found this little place on the internet before I even left as number 1 on "Best cupcakes in New York".

Pinkberry
Again, this was recommended to me by a friend..... Pinkberry has the most amazing frozen yogurts with a wide range of delicious toppings! A great choice when you feel a little keen on something sweet, that brings as much pleasure as a normal ice cream or chocolate, but is so much better for you from a health point of view ;)

It was fabulous 5 days that I will never forget!!!
....and just like the classic t-shirt, I really must say:

I New York

Oh how I miss my morning coffee's at Starbucks......mmmmmm..... Grande soy caramel macchiato =p
I also already miss walking up and down on Broadway every day!
I will go back there soon.... I simply have to!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend and hope to see you here again soon....
